[I] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God.
[2] He was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things came into being through Him,
and apart from Him nothing came into being
that has come into being.
[4] In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
[5] The Light shines in the darkness, and the
darkness did not comprehend it.

{1} Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named
Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews;

“Rabbi, we know that you have come from God as
teacher; for no one can do these signs that You
 do unless God is with him.
{3} Jesus answered and said to him,
“Truly, Truly, I say to you, unless one is born
again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
{4} Nicodemus said to Him,
“How can a man be born when he is old?
He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s
womb and be born, can he?”
{5} Jesus answered,
” Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born
of water and the spirit he cannot enter the
kingdom of God.
{6} “That which is born of the flesh is flesh,
and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.
{7} ” Do not be amazed that I said to you,
 ’You must be born again.’
{8} ” The wind blows where it wishes and you
hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes
from and where it is going; so is everyone who
is born of the spirit.”

in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved;
for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness,
and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE
DISAPPOINTED.” ROMANS 10:8-11

{15} by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is
the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that
in Himself He might make the two into one new man,
thus establishing peace,
{16} and might reconcile them both in one body to God
through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.
{17} AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO
WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR;
{18} for through Him we both have our access in one
Spirit to the Father.
{19} So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you
are fellow citizens with the saints, and are
of God’s household,
{20} having been built on the foundation of the apostles
and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,
{21} in whom the whole building, being fitted together,
is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,
{22} in whom you also are being built together into
a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

I have spoken to you.
{4} “Abide in Me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear
fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you
unless you abide in Me.
{5} “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides
in Me and I in Him, he bear much fruit, for apart from Me
you can do nothing.
{6} ” If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away
as a branch and dries up, and they gather then, and
cast them into the fire and they are burned.
{7} “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
ask what ever wish, and it will be done for you.
{8} “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear
much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
{9} “Just as the Father has loved Me, I have
also loved you; abide in My love.
{10} “If you keep My commandments, you will
abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s
commandments and abide in His love.
{11} “These things I have spoken to you so that My joy
may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
